Working With New Path Tribal Services: Annual Contract or Specialized Technical Assistance

Comprehensive Assistance for Alaska Native Villages

Teleconference with the Council

A teleconference with the Council is the first step to see if New Path Tribal is a good fit for your village.

References, Resumes & Samples of Work

If you would like references and do not know any tribes currently working with NPTS, we can send you a long list of references to call. We can also send you samples of funded grants and resumes.

Collecting Information

A site visit is the best thing but we are trying to keep costs low and travel can cost a lot. Depending on the work you need done, we will ask for detailed information and some photos to build a database for the village.

Annual Contracts

Annual contracts are typically between 125 – 230 hours, depending on the projects, the revisions, the negotiations, and the needs of the tribe. Even though NPTS does not charge by the hour for annual contracts, we keep detailed logs of the time we spend and the tasks completed so we can send reports at any time to the Council.

Specialized Technical Assistance

Specialized technical assistance is used to complete the required tasks in projects where the tribe cannot hire locally for the work. NPTS can arrange to find the right, qualified, reliable person for the work and supervise the work. These are usually short jobs, temporary work that needs to be done once but occasionally they are longterm small jobs such as 2.5 hours a week to help with tasks. The purpose of this specialized technical assistance is to make sure grants are completed in a timely manner and that there are no barriers or problems to getting needed services and projects up and running. Specialized technical assistance is unique to each situation.
